I long had this feeling but being the composer and not the journalist, I just couldn’t find the form, format or words and I thank Paul Carr for writing it:

Dear frustrated music loving YouTube visitors – take a look at Google’s financial statement tell me they can’t share a small part of their revenue with content creators who are responsible for the largest part of the traffic and thus revenue?
Revenues: $ 29.321 million
Costs of Revenues: $ 18,940 million
Profitability: $ 10,381 million
Now, I’m not saying, that Google should be a socialistic enterprise. But come on, give the creators who are being attacked from every corner of society a break already. Because let’s face it: people go to YouTube for the content and not the advertisement around it.
Or is “Do no evil” just a hollow phrase?
