Opinion | They Stormed the Capitol. Their Apps Tracked Them. – The New York Times
I don’t know why this is in “Opinion”.
It’s a great read.
I wish they had included much more detail of the actual apps that helped in the collection of the data. That would have been some actionable information for all of us.

Synths Baroque – quick music sketch
I need to write more music like… although this isn’t strictly baroque of course and it is just a quick improvisation noodle instead of a “balanced work”
I really liked it though.

Daring Fireball: Woz’s Schematics for Prototype Apple II Sell for $630,000
I agree:
Indiana Jones voice: These belong in a museum.
I’m not joking. I don’t want to get all sappy here, but if Woz doesn’t design the Apple II, there’s no Apple. There’s no Mac in 1984, there’s no iPhone in 2007. There’s no NeXT in between, and a NeXTStep box is where the web was created. None of it happens like it did without these genius designs for that amazing computer.

Tom Cruise Blasts ‘Mission: Impossible 7’ Crew for COVID-19 Problems – Variety
I know from personal experience that what Tom Cruise said here is true. He’s not doing it alone of course, a lot of other individuals are making those phone calls and make sure we stay in business.
I am very grateful for that.
“We are the gold standard. They’re back there in Hollywood making movies right now because of us. Because they believe in us and what we’re doing. I’m on the phone with every fucking studio at night, insurance companies, producers and they’re looking at us and using us to make their movies. We are creating thousands of jobs, you motherfuckers. I don’t ever want to see it again. Ever!”

Why is TV 29.97 frames per second? – YouTube
I had a little amusing exchange over on Twitter about FPS on the new PS5 which then made me jump into refreshing my memory of why we have this ridiculous framerate of 29.97 fps which then made me find this rather good and entertaining video:
