But sometimes I wonder why I always get those freaky projects? \ud83d\ude42 On the other hand, I guess it&#8217;s much more intereseting than the usual stuff, so it&#8217;s actually quite OK.<\/p>\n<p>But to get to the point. Most nights this week I sat on a frozen lake with a microphone to record the sounds that ice produces. It is a quite interesting and meditative way of spending a couple of hours: just sitting still in the middle of the cold night and listening to what&#8217;s happening below you. Very very cool I must say. And also it becomes ever more clear that I will have to take a trip someplace really cold and spend a couple of days or maybe even weeks outside, preferably with a dog sled. We&#8217;ll see. I&#8217;m sure I&#8217;ll get around to doing that!<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, this is what it looks like:<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"507\" height=\"380\" alt=\"Ice recording\" src=\"http:\/\/www.hanshafner.de\/blog\/wp-content\/files\/galleries\/Ice%20Recording\/IMG_6800.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If you look at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hanshafner.de\/blog\/lazyest-index.php?file=ice_recording\/\">all the pictures<\/a> I took, you will find that on Monday it was a total dream night: clear, cold almost a full moon left. Quite breathtaking!<\/p>\n<p>Oh yeah, and as you can see on the picture: the second night there was heavy snow fall and since I of course had to sit still, I got snowed in a little. Quite a nice feeling, actually only thanks to the massive arctic outdoor gear that I&#8217;ve been given.
